I teach in a rural community elementary school in northeast Florida. I have an amazing group of students. They all bring different strengths to our classroom. We treat our class as a family. The goal of my classroom is to meet every student where they are and help them grow both academically and socially.
Our county has a 21.4% poverty level.
Our school currently has about 1,200 students. Being a rural community, we only have one elementary school that serves the entire county.
My Project
Wouldn't you love to curl up with a good book on a cold winter day? I know I would! I love to keep learning fun. Students tend to engage more in the lesson when the setting of the classroom is appealing. I would love to transform my classroom into a "Winter Wonderland" while teaching English Language Arts.
My students love to come into a room that is transformed and can take them to places never experienced.
I would love to offer a fun learning experience this winter by transforming our room using the items requested. We will continue to work on English Language Arts skills, but in a new environment. All items would be used to help transform the room and take the students to a new depth of learning.
