Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are a diverse group of students. We are a Title I school with free lunches for all students. Most of our students come from low-income families and do not have rich life experiences.
They love coming to school to learn and socialize with their friends, but they also have a love for music and learning.
In our music class, our students will find a love and appreciation for a variety of musical genres. They love experiencing different forms of music and movement through music as well as musical expression through singing, creating, and performing. Finding ways to keep strong engagement in the class will maximize their learning experience.
Please consider supporting our music class as we bring our families and students together in a positive atmosphere during our school music programs.
My Project
The use of instruments in our music classroom is highly engaging for our students. As our year progresses, and concerts are coming up, our students and families will enjoy adding an instrumental piece or two to our repertoire. Increasing the amount of instruments available to our students, will increase family engagement opportunities.
Your donation will make a vast change in the amount of family engagement our school is already experiencing.
Our students have a lot of pride in their musical experiences and always seek opportunities to share with their family and friends. Remember the joy you feel when watching your child perform, lets bring that feeling to all of our families here at Lincoln Elementary.
