I teach in a full-day preschool classroom with 24 children. These children live in a low-income area where many of them come to school without proper shoes, jackets, and food. Many of them have overcome the struggles of poverty, broken homes, and being homeless.
However, I believe my students are entitled to have the best education that's desirable for them.
I enjoy working in this area because it is so rewarding. It is remarkable watching my students overcome new obstacles every day. My classroom is like a second home for my students; most of them spend more than eight hours a day with me. They use my classroom as a place for warmth, love, and to escape their troubles. As a teacher, it is very important for me to keep my students safe, inspired, engaged, and passionate about learning because these young students are the future. My Project
As the cold winter season is approaching, students will need warm clothes and snacks to wear and eat to keep them warm and healthy.
The winter is hard for many of my students and families.
Many of my students do not have appropriate outdoor clothing to wear for outside play to keep them warm and dry. The severe weather can also damage their skin due to being so dry. That is why I am requesting for clothing and snack (coconut water)to help keep my students healthy protected. Their health and wellness plays an important role for their future success and well being. Having these clothes and snacks will ensure that my students' essential needs are being met during these cold months.
