My classroom is made up of 19 very active third grade students! We spend our days engaged in a wide variety of rigorous academic activities. My students are the perfect melting pot of mixed abilities.
I teach at a Title I school in a SAM classroom setting with students from a wide variety of backgrounds.
We work hard each and every day to learn and grow with one another. My number one goal as their teacher is to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of all my students. I strive to support all of their learning styles in order for them to succeed in second grade. Providing them with cutting-edge, research-based classroom tools will help to give them the best educational experience possible.
My Project
This project is meant to freshen up our classroom learning environment. Some of our seating choices are becoming mundane and this is the perfect time of year to bring some newness into our room, and to cure those winter blues!
My students would love to have these new padded stools to utilize during center times around the room as well as the reclining chairs to relax and read in!
I try to keep the classroom ever changing and improving in order to keep the students interested and invested in coming back each day for another great day of learning.
Additionally, we would like to start implementing more mindfulness into our classroom. The yoga cards will help us to do that for quick mindful moments each day.
