This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
When you think about students who have a strong desire to be the best-think about my students. They are inspiring individuals who come from places that aren't always ideal. Adversity is the foundation of the life they stand on but regardless they persevere.
100% of my students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Additionally, they receive blessing bags to ensure they eat over the weekend. School is a safe haven where life lessons about trust, hard work, boundaries, and unconditional life come to life.
I'm lucky to be inspired by my students. They inspire me to see the brighter side of things and to always allow someone a reset. The reset becomes the test of love that they all want to pass.
My Project
Any successful project begins with organization and materials. Heading back to school is often an overwhelming experience for my students because they don't come prepared and feel as though their chance of success is slim to non. I want my students to walk into class and be consumed by binders, folders, markers, headphones-all things that are going to help them succeed.
The basics to us-are a HUGE deal to my students.
As a new teacher I want to make sure I set a good example of preparedness- and give my students one last thing to worry about.
With technology being a necessity my students need quality headphones that will last.
