My Students

We have one old, stationary computer that does not have the capacity needed or the mobility necessary to teach individual students or small groups.

This year I am teaching a split classroom of wonderful first and second graders in a public school in California.

Together we face a unique challenge of working on two separate curricula within one classroom. I would love for them to have access to a laptop so that they may become fully engaged on their research projects and lessons.

My Project

A laptop will enable my students to view a variety of online instructional videos and access tutorials for our language arts and math programs. Their history and science lessons will come alive for them as well. A laptop will enable me to assess and progress monitor my students by using our new assessment program so that I may get a clear picture of their needs.

Please help us acquire this piece of technology to increase student learning, to help me assess their needs and provide an exciting way to strengthen their weaknesses, and to bring the world into our classroom!
