Our school strives to build a community of critical thinking problem solvers that can work together. These students love games. They love the challenges in a low risk setting. I've seen tremendous educational a growth of students as they maneuver how to develop strategies. Their social emotional skills also improve as they develop working skills while working collaboratively as well as competitively. The high fives they give each other through playing games is inspirational. They love the time to celebrate success.

Who doesn't love games? My 6th graders definitely do!
These board games will give my students a chance to build skills of strategy, problem solving, and social emotional game abilities.
My students love to compete. Through the use of board games, they will have a risk free environment to build so many skills needed in not only our math classroom but in the world.
I particularly am requesting board games that involve students thinking about strategies. I want them to think about what makes someone good at the game.
By implementing board games in math workshop, students will be moving their personal pieces to success.
