My first grade classroom is a place where I get to watch my students' faces light up each day as they have fun learning. They're very ambitious individuals who enjoy having discussions about current events ranging from sports to national disasters.
We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, alternative seating, and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are!
They're truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!
My Project
I believe that education in financial literacy must begin early! I am teaching the basics of financial literacy with my first graders. We are getting an introduction to money and all the basics of spending and saving. All of these concepts are the foundation of financial literacy.
I would like to implement a classroom store for my students to spend their "Bulldog Bucks!" My students earn Bulldog Bucks for certain incentives such good behavior, acts of kindness, and getting compliments from other teachers.
My students would be able to save their class money and budget for the purchase of items in our classroom store.
