My Students
My students are avid learners from the moment they step into the classroom until they go home. By the end of the school year, I want my students to challenge themselves and keep researching and finding answers to any questions they might have.
Mahatma Gandhi said, "Live as if you were to die tomorrow.
Learn as if you would live forever."
Students need to be taught to never stop learning! We as educators need to emphasize the development of their critical thinking!
My Project
Coding is the new language that students need to be learning in this century. But how can we teach elementary school students coding in a fun and easy way?
Dash and Dot is a tool that my students can use to spark their creativity and learn new skills with robotics.
My students will be using step by step cards provided with the kit to code and let their creativity soar. Dash and Dot are sturdy and will be able to absorb the mishaps of elementary students. Students will be using block coding, which develops problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
If my project is funded, my students will explore their endless creative abilities in a way that might not be possible for them outside the classroom.
