My students need a classroom library that is filled with genre they enjoy reading. We require each student to read 4 books each nine weeks, and this will help them succeed with that requirement!

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are the absolute best! They are from El Dorado, AR where they can all go to college with tuition paid because of the Murphy Promise from Murphy Corporation here in El Dorado. The children work very hard to prepare for this amazing opportunity given to them. They are funny, motivated, independent, and loving. I feel extremely connected to all of my students and will do whatever it takes to help them succeed them succeed in the classroom and at school.

My Project

I am beginning my 2nd year teaching English. I have only 2 books in my classroom library and need so many more! My students love to read and are always looking for the next best book. They enjoy reading books in a series and I’m hoping this will give them more of what they are looking for. This project is going to allow them to pick and choose from lots of amazing book titles, book levels, and genres. They always work hard to reach their goals and make good grades. This is the exact project they need for my classroom.
