My school is a Title I school in a rural area. We do not receive much funding from local sales tax (as there are not a lot of places to shop in the area). My students and their families are very eager to be involved with school functions and activities. They are supportive in so many ways.
I teach twenty-three students.
I loop with my class, so I generally will have them for kindergarten and first grade.
My students need some additional resources in order to learn and stay excited about school. I want my students to have the best of everything. I know that is not really possible; however, with support, I know they can have nicer and newer things in the classroom.
My Project
The district I work in is a complete Title I district. I am writing this project on behalf of the cheer team. The teachers in my area are trying to reduce the costs associated with cheering by writing DonorsChoose projects.
I am asking for a cheer package for 2 girls need including socks, shoes, cheer wear, and a hair bow to perform at school events.
This project will fund two cheerleaders and give them 3 outfits to wear during practice, to camp, and during pep-rallies and school events. The girls will also be able to wear the shirts to school on game days increasing school spirit.
