My amazing students come from multiple cities around the school. They enter the school every day and are energetic and ambitious to learn. They never let their home atmosphere stop them from becoming lifelong learners. I want to be able to say I gave each child who came into my classroom, everything they needed in order to be successful. My students attend a creative arts, public, charter school, and I aim to give each child opportunities to excel inside and outside of the classroom.
My Project
With your donations, the ladies at our academy will be able to build a better volleyball program. We have minimal supplies to help our program grow into a competitive program. With supplies to help with basic techniques, our players can learn the essential skills to develop into a competitive volleyball player. They will also have the opportunity to compete with higher-level teams and potentially become a college athlete. These female athletes put their heart and soul into this sport. Our school does not have a huge athletic budget so this will be helpful in any way. Our plan is to use all of these materials effectively and also show respect for the items.
Our season was cut short because of Covid-19 and many of my players are missing out on their chance to shine.
I want to make sure they still have a chance to play the sport they love while being safe.
Getting more training supplies like the weighted balls will help keep their body in shape. The volleyballs will give me the opportunity to help them get practice in while in the safety of their own home. When our season returns we will need individual water bottles for each player to prevent the spread of covid. Since many players are growing I would like to have kneepads on hand to give them when they need new ones from wear and tear. Our goal is to keep the supplies for a longer period of time so future players can use them for years to come.
