This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you remember what it was like the first time you completed a puzzle? My students have not yet discovered this because our classroom puzzles are incomplete.
I teach 26 energetic kindergarten students who love to learn.
My students come from very low income families and have little support from home. 80% of our students qualify for the free/reduced lunch program. I like to provide fun, hands-on activities that will keep their imaginations going wild. Puzzles are a great way to do this.
My Project
I am asking for a collection of puzzles and puzzle racks for our puzzle center. Our puzzles are worn out/missing pieces and need replacing. Puzzles are a great way for my students to practice skills that have already been taught. Skills that these puzzles will reinforce are number order, sequencing of the alphabet, and using small motor skills. I am also asking for puzzles that teach about the environment, animal life, and children of different cultures. These puzzles will go with many units that I teach.
Your donation will allow our imaginations to run wild as we continue to learn and practice very important skills through hands-on activities.
