Help me give my students books, puzzles and centers materials to gain the knowledge of zoo animals before we make our trip to the Cincinnati Zoo in May.
This year the majority of my students are encountering their first time in a school setting. They are coming from a low-income area of Ohio. They need a lot of one-on-one help, as they are three to five years old, and some with learning disabilities.
My students are very energetic and eager to learn, and they have a lot of fun doing it!
With every lesson taught, the students are expanding their minds. I have many students that will be going on to kindergarten next year, and I plan to have them equipped with all the skills that they need to be successful in their academic career.
My Project
Every year, I take advantage of a learning grant that gives us free admission to the Cincinnati Zoo in down town Cincinnati.
With these materials, my students will learn about the zoo and zoo animals prior to the field trip to the Cincinnati Zoo.
I have moved into a new center, so my book collection is weak in the zoo animal section. With these books, I will be able to educate the students on what animals they will see when we make our trip to the zoo in May.
The other materials will also support zoo animal learning. I think the students will love the body mix and match toys and the measuring item.
Thank you so much for your interest in my project.
