My students don't always have access to resources that would extend their learning. I want to do all I can to help my students achieve their highest potential. My students are engaged in education and eager to learn. They are enthusiastic about school and are always ready for new challenges and responsibilities. My students come from diverse backgrounds and attend a K-6 focus school.
Students don't always have access to resources, and I am interested in every opportunity to change that.
I want to motivate my students to reach their potential. I am here to inspire them, allow creative opportunities and keep them interested and inquisitive about the world around them.
My Project
This project enables students to have the books they need so they can learn to enjoy reading in a more engaging way. They experience challenge, competition, and wholistic learning by being part of the Golden Sower competition. I'm requesting three copies of each book.
The books will be displayed and made available for checkout to maximize their use and will reach many students!
I want to make these books available for check out and do what I can to get these books in the students' hands. All students in the school may read the books but students in the fourth, fifth and sixth grades are invited to participate in the Nebraska Golden Sower book club and an annual reading competition.
This learning opportunity will cover these areas in education; critical thinking, creative thinking, inquiry and cultural proficiency. This project provides a way to have students read more, meet new people and discover love of books in a new way. Students develop literacy skills and improve communication skills that will help them throughout their lives. Having a reading group that discusses books allow a naturally developing positive community of support. Three cheers for positive reading experiences and the light of learning.
