My Project

I have an eager group of 21 kindergarten students who love to learn and grow every day. They are very hard-working and are always curious to learn more and to explore deeper into our learning.

Our school has adopted the motto "Work hard, play hard." We strongly believe that play is an important part of learning for students.

Each day, we have hands-on, interactive learning opportunities for students in which they strengthen their knowledge and understanding of our core-curriculum. In addition, we have time set aside each day for play. Playing each day allows students to strengthen their social skills. It also allows them to deepen their understanding of math and literacy skills through the use of a variety of learning/play materials.

One of the favorite play materials in our classroom is magna tiles. The students love creating buildings and structures using the magnet shapes. This project will provide our class with new magna tile animal sets. My students will love having additional magna tiles to build with. The artic, safari and jungle animals that are included will allow students to build homes and habitats.
