This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Over 90% of the students at my school receive free or reduced-price lunch and we are considered a Title 1 school. Students don't always have access to resources that would extend their learning. I want to do all I can to help my students achieve their highest potential. My students are truly amazing and they love to learn. They are excited about school and their contagious enthusiasm for learning drives me to do more!

I want inspire and motivate my students to be all that they can be! When they graduate from my school, I want them ready to venture out into the world and make their dreams come true.
My Project
My students love to draw and they incorporate their masterpieces into all areas of the curriculum. They especially love to publish their writing with detailed illustrations. I would like to scan their masterpieces and create a web page so they can share their hard work with family and friends. This group of kids loves to draw and create, so I want to give them all I can to foster and encourage these skills.
Drawing improves hand-eye coordination, encourages visual analysis, helps concentration, increases confidence and teaches creative problem solving.
Watching students create is very exciting and my goal is to provide supplies that will excite, motivate and inspire them to go above and beyond!
