Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Early childhood education is the foundational building block that we all take with us and build upon throughout life. My students come to me as these tiny little bright-eyed pre-kindergartners, and they leave me as first graders, ready to take on the world!

In our class we mold young minds, engrain in students a passion for learning and a desire to make the world a better place by teaching them the simple things, like how to hold a pencil and tie their shoes, along with the more complicated ideas, such as how to have compassion for someone, how to work through emotions and problem solve; we develop in them a strong moral compass that will guide them through life, not to mention, teaching them how to read, write, and do math like the best of them.

My Project

My students love to move at all times! These chairs help them to focus that energy while focusing on their work, they are amazing!

My students have enough work ahead of them on the road to first grade, these chairs would allow them to get their wiggles out while working hard in class, a win win for us all!

My class was fortunate enough to be supported by an earlier donorschoose project for wobble chairs and boy are they a huge hit in our classroom. They are so much of a hit that my students are asking for more chairs and options in the classroom. With your support I can give them just that!
