Wiggling & Wobbling, Pt. 2 | Kindergarten Flexible Seating
My students need 4 balance ball chairs to enhance alternative seating in our classroom.
My kindergarteners are so excited to walk into our classroom each and every morning and their excitement and happiness is absolutely contagious!
A fabulous and curious group of children, my kindergarteners are constantly searching for ways to stretch their brains academically the moment they walk through the door.
They are all so eager to learn about the fun and exciting things we'll do in kindergarten this year! Our school is wonderful we have extremely supportive parents that are willing to help out any way they can, an amazing team of highly talented teachers, and students that are willing to work as hard as can be!
In kindergarten, we're constantly moving around the room and being active - and this occurs each and every day throughout the school year. However, there comes time when we must sit down to work, learn, and even read. Take a moment to think about when you sit down to read a book. Do you choose your hard chair and desk? More than likely, your answer is no - and kindergarteners feel the same way!
The balance ball chairs will not only provide my students with a comfortable place to sit, but will also serve as an outlet for extra energy.
We currently have two balance ball chairs in the classroom - and we LOVE them! I looking to provide my students with additional balance ball chairs so that more students have the option to enjoy these seats on a daily basis.
Many young students have a difficult time sitting still and completing work - and the balance ball chairs will provide a safe alternative for students needing to wiggle and wobble while working. These flexible seating options will also improve concentration, work time, and overall quality of work.
The goal is to optimize learning - to create a classroom environment in which all students may be successful - and by providing my students with the necessary flexible seating options, I believe we can do just that.
