Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our scholars here at Lake George are very diverse with very unique and big personalities. They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. They love to read and really immerse themselves into the books and explore the world in which they read. They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! Truly, they are my inspiration!
My class is truly one loving community.
The scholars enjoy collaboration and rigorous discussions about what they are learning and reading. Often times scholars can be found in small groups working together to collectively create and innovate!
My Project
Often times children have so much energy and they don't have a way to release that energy during instructional time. These wiggle stools will provide an outlet for them. They can wiggle and wobble until their heart is content while continuing to engage in rigorous classroom learning opportunities. The scholars will use these stools while in small group instruction as well as their time on the computer. My scholars are excited that we may have the opportunity to have these stools in our classroom because they have been able to try out these stools in other classrooms. Our class community is excited about this opportunity!
