My Students

My center is made up of children Kindergarten through 5th grade. I have children from all ages and different learning styles. The kids come in from a long day at school and for some of them this is like their second home. We try to provide an environment for the children that is safe and comforting. It can get difficult when the age as well as their interest are so dramatically different. My staff and I are always trying to provide a variety of materials to spark the children's curiosity as well as provide developmentally appropriate material. We try to provide an environment that strengthens relationships with their peers and also children of different ages.

My Project

The two additional wobble stools will add great value to the Calm Down Refocus area. The children already enjoy the two we have and I notice it helps direct their energy in a positive way. Adding two more wobble stools will allow more children working in the Calm Down Refocus area to have access to one. I have noticed they really help the more active children focus during homework time. The wobble stools allow the children to get their wiggles out while staying on task. The wobble stools really help with the energy of the center and thy have been a great addition for the children. I absolutely love the company that invented this item.
