My students are a unique group of learners because they come from very diverse backgrounds, in a primarily impoverished area in the state of Indiana. My students belong to a Title I, free and reduced-price lunch school in urban Indianapolis.
For my students, Kindergarten is their most formative year for school, as it is their first experience ever being in an academic setting.
Many of my students do not have the patience or stamina for a whole day of learning with just a couple physical activity breaks.
While my students may come to school to get an education, I want them to have fun and be engaged while doing so! When my students can come to school and have an opportunity to learn in a hands-on and active environment, they come to school excited to learn and interact with others!

My Project
My students are a group of high energy learners this year! As I have worked to implement flexible seating, I have realized that not all rocking stools are created equal. I have spent personal money on stools that have already broken down on us!
