Hello! My first graders are working hard on being kind and learning what kindness means. My students are special because they persevere through challenges even hen they feel like they can't go on. My students beg for math time which is such a huge encouragement as a teacher. They have been with me since mid September and I wouldn't trade this first year of teaching for the world. They have shown me patience, growth, and tender hearts. We have learned alot together these last few months. *Example: One of my students is allergic to rainbows ;)
My Project
This project is a continuation of another wiggles project. Because of awesome support, I was able to afford more seating options for kids that need wiggle room in their seats. My class is very active and I have seen growth when I allow movement in our learning. The wiggle cushions provide just a little extra to the kiddo that can't quite focus on sitting still in their chair. The other options allow the students to sit in a different environment and still have access to all of their learning materials. Children need various outlets to shake those sillies loose. Hopefully, these tools provide that necessary change.
