Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing kids! Kindergarteners are active and most do their best learning when being able to move and be comfortable. Allowing my students the opportunity to choose where they want to work in the classroom gives them control of their learning. They know where they will be the most comfortable to do their best work!
My Project
Giving young students the chance to choose a working spot within the classroom gives them the opportunity to be successful! In my classroom, students may choose to do their independent work at a lowered table, in a laundry basket, on the floor with a clipboard, or at a table of their choice. I want to provide them with more choices that allows them to be comfortable while continuing to complete their work to the best of their ability. When students make choices and decisions about their learning, they are more engaged and motivated!
