My Students

I will be teaching 2nd grade. This is my first year as a teacher! I would love for my students to have the opportunity to use flexible seating as an option. Flexible seating has proven to help with focus and attention and an overall learning experience. I will have my own home room class, and I will also be teaching literacy to the students in my teacher partner’s class. I will have a total of 45 students who will benefit with the flexible seating.

My Project

My littles will have the choice to sit wherever will help them the most with focus and attention span. The two items I have chosen are wobble chairs and soft seats. The wobble chairs will help my wiggly ones wobble and rock at their table. The soft seats will be for my students who would like to sit on the floor at a table that is lowered for them. It will give them some cushion and allow them to be comfortable and give them room to move around a little. These two options will provide a big dynamic to my classroom and will be a big advantage to my kiddos!
