My class this year is so amazing! We are a neighborhood school, and over 50% free and reduced lunch. Our school focuses on character education, AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) strategies, and community involvement. They are full of ideas and energy. They are always challenging each other in positive ways and challenging me as a teacher. These kids love to be active, work together, experiment, to read, and self reflect. Finally, they love to be at school and to learn!
My Project
Please help my class with flexible seating. These kiddos are very bright but are consistently on the move. They need to be active and on the move to help them stay focus.
The standing desks will help my students who have a hard time sitting down for long periods of time.
The feet bands will help my students who have ADD, ADHD, etc. by helping by applying pressure on their feet to stay focus. Finally, the wobbly stools with help my students who can't stay still. By having the stools, they will be able to stay on task, produce better work, and stay focused.
