My students need seats that will help them learn and focus. The wobble stools, wiggle seats, and resistance bands provide great options for student seating.
The diversity of my students truly enriches our class community. I have students from different countries, such as Iraq, South Korea, and Malawi, to name a few. In addition to language learners, I teach students with special needs, some requiring full time attention from an aide. Being a Title 1 school, I also have a significant amount of students who come from families with low incomes and limited resources. I just love how unique my students are and how they learn to accept and respect each other as individuals!
I love tailoring my lessons to meet the needs of all types of learners, so choosing to provide a classroom environment that physically accommodates different students is so exciting!
My students love working in the class library or on our couch, and I just know they're going to be thrilled to have choices in seating options. There's no turning back; my kiddos deserve flexible seating!
My Project
Flexible seating provides an opportunity for me to meet the needs of my diverse learners. My main goal is to help each student be their best and to shine. Creating a classroom environment that is inviting and where students have choice in seating is a sure way to motivate them.
I know the wobble stools and wiggle seats will especially help my students who struggle with controlling their body and focusing.
These seats will allow students to move about in a non distractible manner. Additionally, current brain research shows that body movement positively affects learning. I cannot wait to include these seating options in my classroom and to see the amazing effects they have on my students!
