Wiggle Wobble Towards Learning

Help me give my students a safe way to fidget and move in a productive way in class. We hope to use these especially with students who have a high need for stimulus during class time.

My Students

My students come from three counties that include rural and urban areas.

Our classroom is one of the most collaborative places on campus.

We sound best when we all work together. When you help your neighbor to learn something, it makes you sound better too. Music helps connect us to cultures from around the globe and across time. It also can enhance learning in other areas like math, science, and the humanities.

Some students shine in mainstream academic pursuits, others on the sporting field. We work to inspire our budding musicians. My goal is to provide as many opportunities to my students as possible for them to be able to shine. I want each of them to begin a warm, nurturing relationship with music that will inspire and delight them for the rest of their lives.

My Project

Our school district, like many, have students who benefit from keeping their bodies active during learning activities. Whether we are in chairs, at our musical carpet, or completing group projects around the classroom, these cushions will be a welcome addition to our learning environment.

I know that students at every age that are being taught in our classroom can and will benefit from having access to flexible seating options.

The textured cushions can also provide something stable for the student to touch that provides sensory stimulation. Thank you for helping our students increase their focus, because that will only increase their learning.
