My students need KORE chairs in order to give them an outlet to move while learning. The students can use these chairs any time during the day in order to be able to focus and listen.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are very creative, smart and wiggly kids. They come from hard backgrounds and their only consistency every day is school. My school is 100% free lunch and breakfast location. We have about 950 students; the majority of which live below the poverty line. We are also 65% ELL learners. This means that the main language spoke in the home is not English. They are eager to learn and come to school ready to work hard.
I love seeing them every day.
They are always excited to learn. Every day is different and it definitely keeps my life exciting. Every student learns differently and these chairs give them an opportunity to regulate how they learn.
My students are always investigating and experimenting with different ideas and concepts. These chairs would provide a way to learn from a different angle or place in the room.
My Project
These KORE chairs are an essential in any early childhood classroom. We are not expected to sit still all day so why should our students? These chairs are portable and can spin and wobble while remaining quiet during lesson and small group work.
My students are allowed to use them anywhere in the room in order to help regulate their ability to learn.
They will be able to use them in silent reading time and center time. They can also be used during whole group and independent work. Sometimes a little wiggling is all a student needs to grasp the concept. The students will get them out and put them away every day. This gives them a sense of responsibility and they are also more likely to take care of them this way.
These chairs would create less frustration over having to wait in a long line to use ( since I have 25 students) and provide more equal opportunity for them.
