My first graders are fantastic! They are enthusiastic and motivated to learn. My classroom is made up of a variety of learners who come from diverse backgrounds . Due to recent flooding, our school population has grown. Many of our students are still recovering from flooding in our area.
My job as there teacher is to provided a safe, engaging, and interactive environment.
I want to provide my students various items to help them focus. With the balance discs and foot bands, I hope to create learning environments that allow my students to be more active.
My Project
We have lots of energy in first grade with a variety of learners. As much as we try to move around during the day, there are times that require us to work at our seats.
The benefits of balance discs and foot bands provides plenty of kinesthetic movement for the students while maintaining peace and order in the classroom.
The use of foot bands and balance discs can help students stay engaged while releasing some anxiety and energy, while keeping focused and on task. These items will help increase coordination and balance, promote proper posture, and allow the students to bounce and fidget when their body needs it.
