Mound Valley third graders are totally amazing! While over half of our students face the challenges of coming from a low income home, they face and master many struggles on a daily basis! We are always looking for new ways to help them grow and succeed in all they endeavor to do.
My students are fun, inquisitive and active young learners.
They are great readers and are eager to learn all that they possibly can. Students are our future, and I want to help my students become the successful young adults they are blossoming into. The sky is the limit.
My Project
Wiggle seats and kick bands will help students get a little more comfortable while they are working. It is easier to perform when you are not so uncomfortable from sitting in a hard chair. If students have wiggle seats and kick bands, they can wiggle often and quietly, without disturbing any other students.
Wiggly seats and kick bands support challenges of ADHD and sensory processing disorders.
They also have a calming effect for students who struggle to sit still for periods of time. The kick bands would aid students who need to bounce while focusing.
Wiggly seats relieve pressure from the backs of our students too.
Your donations to our project will help our students focus and aid in posture.
These seats and kick bands will make a difference in our student's learning by relieving the pressures caused from sitting in a hard chair for extended periods of time.
