Help me give my students the freedom to move while they stay focused on work. These items, like the wobble stools allow the students to move around, but stay attentive to their task.
Our school is a very special place. We are a school with a mix of students from many different cultures and economic backgrounds. We serve students who are from the area as well as many students who have just moved to the United States. The neighborhood that the school serves is very diverse as well. The school serves students who are of Hispanic and Asian decent as well as Caucasian and African-American students. Our school is a warm and inviting place where everyone is welcomed with open arms. At the school we are working tirelessly to teach students about being responsible and to treat others with respect. The teachers work diligently to make their classrooms and the school is a place where kids want to be.
One of the best things about Bubb School is how the students remain the primary focus of both the teachers and the administration.
Everyone works tirelessly to make the campus, lessons and activities engaging and challenging for all of our students, while still meeting the kids’ needs.
My Project
It's hard to stay focused and on task when all a student wants to do is move. The items that I have selected, stools and wobble cushions, allow the students the freedom to get their wiggles out while still staying at their desks or assigned tables completing their assignments.
Many students have difficult time staying on task in the traditional student chair, these alternatives allow them the freedom to move around while completing their work.
Our current culture is allow students to stand, swing their legs, bounce or engage in whatever activity will help them focus and the items I have selected will allow the kids to move to their hearts' content, while still working on our rigorous state standards.
