My Students

When entering Beckett Toys and Games, one can observe the students becoming expert learners. Their learning styles vary as do their strengths and challenges. They come from many different cultures as well as their background experiences. At times my students work individually and sometimes collaboratively as scientists, engineers, computer coders, avid readers, creators, writers, historians, and mathematicians.

They are preparing for careers that aren't even dreamed of yet.

So by becoming expert learners, they will be prepared to excel in whatever career they choose by acquiring the necessary skills. I want to provide the environment for them to excel and be accountable for their learning. They are in charge of their future. I am here to make sure they are prepared for it.

My Project

Through my research on the learning brain, I am creating a more brain-enriched classroom environment for my students. I am working to provide a flexible seating classroom for my students so they may take control of their learning preferences.

My learners will be able to choose the seat that works best for them on a daily basis allowing their creativity and production to increase.

Adding lap desks and stability ball chairs will provide an option for moving while learning. I have been able to add some seating choices but would like to add more to allow for student choice and learning preference.
