I have a very diverse group of learners with varying needs. The 22 students that I have this year are very spirited and energetic throughout the entire day. I'm hoping with continuing my flexible seating that my students will be more willing to focus on tasks in the classroom. The flexible seating options will allow for free movement while learning, which in return will help students reach their fullest potential. I also hope to further create a classroom environment that is comfortable and engaging for anyone who comes in.
My Project
These wobble stools and bouncy bands will allow my students to move freely at their seats and release energy while they work. It will help promote an active engagement in classroom activities and keep students from getting bored while sitting in a regular chair throughout the day. These donations will be added to my already started flexible seating arrangements and help my classroom remain inviting and engaging for all who enter. I am also asking for fire retardant spray so I can hang up my classroom curtains while still passing fire code. Our electric pencil sharpener broke so I am also asking for help to replace that.
Flexible seating is only one way in which teachers can help meet the needs of their students.
