I have an amazing and diverse group of students. We work, learn and play together each day. In my classroom I am blessed to serve and teach a variety of learners. During my day I encounter ESL students, students with sensory needs, autism needs, ADHD needs and struggling readers and writers.
They are truly amazing and hardworking students.
It is my desire to meet each student at their current developmental level and move them as far as possible in our 4th grade ELA goals. These kids are going to change the world someday!
My Project
Students benefit from moving while they are processing their learning. The requested materials will bring our classroom to life. Students will be able to have therabands on their chairs to allow for movement of their legs in a way that does not disturb others around them. The small collection of fidgets will be available to allow learners small motor skill movements as they process their learning.
Students will have the opportunity to wiggle while they work by using wiggle seats, therabands and small fidgets.
Having the opportunity to move while learning in the classroom will increase student engagement and help my students stay on task as we read and write.
