My fourth graders are explorers. They are readers, writers, researchers, and investigators. They are enthusiastic about learning and have the world at their feet. Our school is part of a global program in which each grade focuses on a different continent. Fourth grade's area of focus is Europe, and my students absolutely love connecting our curriculum to the world.
Whether it's studying myths from Ancient Greece, building breathtaking German castles, or comparing architecture and government structures, my students are creative, enthusiastic, and inventive.
Every day that they come in, they deserve my very best. I'm asking for help to make sure I continue to serve them so they can reach their highest potential!
My Project
Kids do best focusing on their work when they have some wiggle room - literally. I have some flexible seating options in my room, but not enough to be sufficient for all of my students at once. These wobble cushions can be used for those students who prefer to work in a chair at a table or desk so that they can still wiggle out some extra energy. The portable reclining chairs can be set up anywhere around the room to ensure each student is in a comfortable, distraction-free area.
I want my students to be comfortable and efficient, and giving them choice on where and how they work is one step towards that goal.
This project will help make my classroom more functional, organized, and efficient, and my students will be grateful - and focused - every day because of your help.
