My students need to experience flexible seating options to improve brain function. These ball chairs provide one option that allows students to appropriately fidget and concentrate on their learning at the same time!
My students come from a wide array of socioeconomic backgrounds. Many come in already reading at grade level, but many others are still developing their understanding of letter sounds, rhymes, and simple decoding.
We are confident, curious and creative; our students are eager for a challenge and ready to learn new things!
Our classroom culture is built upon sharing, responsibility and kindness. We are the superstars of the future. We thank you for your kind consideration and look forward to a fantastic new year.
Flexible seating is the practice of allowing students to choose where and how they want to sit. Some may choose to sit on a cushion on the floor, some may choose to stand. Some may choose to sit on a traditional chair and some may choose to sit on a ball.
I am passionate about keeping students engaged; these ball chairs will engage students both physically and mentally.
Having a way to wiggle has proven to increase the focus and mental stamina of many students. Sitting on a ball chair has proven to build core muscle strength and increase balance. Wow! All from a “chair” I am intrigued and excited to offer this as a flexible seating option in my classroom. Thank you for your kind consideration.
