I am the gifted education specialist, providing enrichment and extension for gifted and high-achieving 2nd through 5th graders.
In my class, students cultivate a growth mindset and hone 21st century skills.
My Project
Children are, by nature, wiggly creatures. My gifted students tend to be the wiggliest of them all! Their minds are racing with questions and ideas, and their little bodies are positively vibrating with extra energy to burn. Requiring them to sit still in a chair while we work on projects seems cruel and unusual, not to mention counterproductive to the educational cause. The subtle movement required to stay seated on these balance balls stimulates the brain, and keeps students engaged! These balls strengthen the core and improve posture. Please help us harness and hone our energy with these exciting new seats!
