I am fortunate enough to teach 14 second grade special education students who live in a low-income school district. We often rely on our teachers to provide the "extras" needed to help students learn, play, and grow.
Providing fidgets enables students to move as they learn, which is an essential part of learning for many students.
This project will allow for finger, foot, and mouth fidgets to help students wiggle as they work. The teachers in our building work hard to focus on each student's potential and provide them with the materials they need. Providing a variety of fidgets will ensure each student the materials they need to become and remain focused on the learning taking place. I have personally seen the benefit of providing such tools. We hope to inspire even our earliest learners to continue on a path of academic excellence, socialization, and wellness.
My Project
Students often need extra assistance to focus during big brain work. Being able to provide fidgets for all of our 2nd grade students will help students focus on the learning taking place.
One student might need a chewy, and their neighbor a foot fidget on their chair.
Students are all different and the teachers work very hard to provide what each individual needs here at WP School. Our goal is for every student to be successful throughout the day. Our budgets often are not enough to buy the "extras" so your donation is truly appreciated. Thank you for considering donating to our fidget project!
