My Students

My students are unique individuals with an enthusiasm for learning! They range from well-below grade level to gifted. There are two students that have only been in the country for a short while and speak only their native language. Within our classroom, several students exhibit specific attention issues which limit their academic progress.

We are just about to complete our third week of school and excited about all the learning opportunities that await us this year.

My Project

It is well documented that most students with focus difficulties are often very uncomfortable when being asked to sit for extended periods at a time, as are students in general.... The garden cushions I requested are a perfect option for students with focus issues and also students who are simply uncomfortable sitting for long periods of time. If they are uncomfortable, they can not learn and therefore other students will also be disrupted.

I would love to offer these students a more comfortable option than the traditional hard plastic classroom chair.
