My Students

My class consists of 18 students. They have lots of energy and are excited to be back at school full time this year. They are strong artists, readers, and writers. More than half of the students have trouble concentrating and staying in their seats.

My Project

These wiggle seats will be used at school. Many of the students have trouble concentrating and paying attention to lessons. These second graders haven't had a normal school year. This year the students are back in school five days a week, with double the number of students in their class. It has been a difficult adjustment for the students to get used to being back in school. They have spent a lot of time learning through a computer screen and are now readjusting to in-person learning. They often fidget and don't want to stay in their seats. These wiggle seats would help immensely because the students would be able to focus on the lesson while being able to move in their seats.
