Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are creative and inspiring leaders. They work on rigorous skills and push through challenges when the "going gets tough."
Many of my students are high energy and need the ability to move and exercise good decision making skills on where to sit to produce high quality work.
I want to create an inspiring and safe space for my students to learn from me and each other. Color, flexible seats, and soothing spaces would empower and benefit all learners.
My Project
Flexible seating helps give students the ability to choose where they work. Putting the power of choice in students' hands is vital to their ability to make good decisions. Students can also collaborate with others in new ways with different options!
In our classroom, we will learn to take exceptional care of our materials.
Each child agrees to a set of standards that optimize the equipment in our classroom.
I want students to feel empowered and at home in their classroom because each year we become a family. We will happily lift each other up as we lead the way.
