Eager, enthusiastic, curious, and ACTIVE! These are my 7th graders! They are exploring, building, and creating during problem-based lab experiences as they encounter science. They have to get the basics down first. This means that they need space for sitting, reading, researching, and note-taking.
There is nothing more satisfying than to see your students actively engaged, learning, and loving every moment of class.
My students have worked so hard this school year and have grown by leaps and bounds. They have questions about every topic I introduce, and they LOVE coding and robotics! When you donate to my classroom, you are providing educational opportunities to students who are excited to learn and appreciate every opportunity to do so.
My Project
Keeping a student's attention throughout a 55 minute class period is difficult for even the most seasoned teacher. It is even more difficult when that student has autism, ADHD or some other learning disability. Just how do you keep distracted students engaged and attentive in the classroom? It starts with flexible seating!
Sitting still for long periods of time has been shown to lead to back and hip soreness, fatigue, decreased muscle tone and a lack of focusing ability.
A set of wobble stools would help address these problems by allowing students to move and adjust while sitting in class. Students become more engaged and willing to learn when they do not feel stuffed into straight rows of rigid desks.
