Lafayette Charter School is a small school with 100 students. Most of our classrooms have been multiage classrooms for the past 16 years. This is the first year we have two stand alone classrooms and we are very excited.
My classroom will be a place of discovery.
My students will have hands-on activities, one-on-one learning, and problem solving. It will be a safe learning environment where children will want to come and explore the world of reading, math, and science.
I teach Kindergarten in a small, rural charter school. We are a Title I school and I have students that love to learn. They are excited to come to school every day and want to learn as much as they can, but I have several students that have so much energy and cannot focus on what we are discussing let alone be able to sit still and do work. Wobble chairs allow students the chance to learn while allowing them to move, these chairs will also improve balance, and common core strength. With the rigor of Kindergarten moving to more academics and less play time, wobble chairs will be able to allow for the movement so that they can continue learning.
