Help me give my students a virtual field trip opportunity hosted by Brooklyn Robot Foundry to learn about simple circuits and vibration through building a wigglebot via Zoom!

My Project

This project will help cover the cost of our virtual field trip with Brooklyn Robot Foundry via Zoom. The Brooklyn Robot Foundry's goal is to empower kids with building and hands-on activities that focus on STEM/STEAM concepts.

Students will surely enjoy the fun of STEAM learning as they build their own vibrating robot that wiggles and jumps around!

The materials will be shipped to the school and the lesson will be through zoom. They will start the class with a lesson on circuits and a demonstration on vibration. Then, the students will get to work building, designing, and experimenting with vibrating robots of their own. But it will really be each student’s creativity that really brings these robots to life, as they decorate and customize their robotic creatures.

Through this virtual field trip, students will be growing their knowledge on science concepts while also building their creative-making skills. We hope this trip is an exciting introduction to the creative making we will do in our classroom in our Maker Space. The students will learn to be problem solvers, creative thinkers, and collaborative learners.
