My Students

There are twenty-six, six and seven year old students in my class who are eager to come to school to learn new things every day. Each student has a unique personality with specific learning styles and needs.

I want to be able to support my students in every way possible to help them learn new things.

That means I need to create an environment where all students have an equal opportunity to learn. Most students do not learn best just by sitting on the rug or in their seat. For the students who need to move around a bit, I need to be able to give them the opportunity to do so.

My Project

Most students have difficulty concentrating and learning while sitting still throughout the school day. In our classroom, we take several movement breaks throughout the day. I also incorporate movement activities into my lessons to help my kinesthetic learners; however, sometimes my students need a little something more than that. Little bodies are meant to move, wiggle, and shake! My students need seating that is developmentally appropriate for them. With wobble stools, my students will be able to safely wiggle, move, and shake as much as their little bodies need to! This will increase their productivity, application of knowledge, and overall learning.
