My students need to move while they learn! The wobble stool allows children to sit, rock and move while learning. We have some wobble stools in my class, but ALL of my students want one!

My Students

My group of 1st grade students are so excited to come to school and learn! They work very hard and try their best to be successful. First grade is an amazing year of growth and development! It is exciting and fulfilling to work with children as they become readers, writers, mathematicians, critical thinkers and so much more. The children in my class come from a variety of backgrounds including high income, low income, English and Spanish speaking households, dual parent and single parent families and are ethnically diverse.

My Project

My students need to move to learn successfully! The wobble stool allows children to sit, twist, rock, wiggle and move while listening, working and learning. While we already have some wobble stools in our classroom, every child wants and needs one to be successful each day! I am a veteran teacher and I have witnessed children who might have difficulty being successful with traditional seating suddenly become successful with these non-traditional seats. Students are able to both stay active and engaged as they progress through their day. This project will enable more students to Wiggle and Wobble While They Learn!
