My Students

My first grade through sixth grade gifted students enjoy learning and sharing their learning with their peers. My students are self-motivated and love using technology. They encourage each other to do their best in ways that I, as the teacher, can not even do.

These students make me smile every single day!

They are full of energy, humor, knowledge, and stories. Not only do they enjoy coming to their gifted class, they make me enjoy my job of teaching them even more!

Ours is a Title I school in a poor rural area. Many of these students do not have computers or internet at home. For some, their only chance to learn about technology and keep up with the pace of technology is to learn about it and use it at school.

My Project

I serve students from first grade through sixth grade every day. While it is a wide range of ages, they have many things in common. For example, they all like to move and wiggle, especially when they are sitting at a table doing work.

I would like to replace my standard stools with these wobble stools because I think my students would be safer and more comfortable in them.

While I tell my students not to tip their chairs and stools, they still sometimes do. These stools would allow my wiggly students to move without the worry that the stool will slip out from under them and cause an injury.
