My students need to have the Wobble Stools and the bouncy bands to help them focus through out the school day. I will have special needs students and be responsible for RTI this year.
My students are absolutely wonderful! Even though they come from various backgrounds, when they enter their classroom, they are family. Each treated with care, understanding and respect.
All of my students work to the best of their ability, which is all a teacher could ask for.
They are always wanting more like sponges, just waiting to soak up what is being taught. Each student learns in their own way and never hesitates to help a peer.
Because of their motivation and desire to succeed, they have contributed to O. C. School being named the #1 school in the state. We were recognized for our rigorous curriculum and outstanding test scores in math and reading. I couldn't be more proud of these kiddos and I want to give them all that I can so they continue to be successful!
My Project
I have 23 students in my classroom, all with unique personalities and ways in which they learn. As a teacher, I need to provide for them an environment that is conducive to learning. This involves having things like pencil grips available to allowing for flexible seating.
My students become my own children each year!
Their tough days affect me as much as their successes! I want to provide for them what would make them happy, successful, 4th grade students. By not focusing on their special needs/issues like ADHD, but rather putting in place things to help them, the issue becomes somewhat non-invasive. The wobble stools and the bouncy bands would be a wonderful addition to my classroom to help these children not feel so ostracized. I plan on putting the bands on each student's chair and the stools will be used by all!
