Help me give my students Hokki Stools and an Adjustable Height Active Learning stool that will allow my students to have physical movement while still being able to learn.
I believe that all students can grow. This is the message conveyed to all of my students. Being qualified for Special Education allows my students the opportunity to learn differently and the tools required for this type of learning can be costly.
A small farming community lends to our large Hispanic population, however, we don't let the fact that most of the students qualify for free or reduced lunch inhibit our learning potential.
Students in my class are in grades 9-12 and deal with a variety of learning, physical, and emotional disabilities. Providing them with accommodations that enhance their learning is one of the many joys I have every day.
My Project
In my Special Education classroom, one of the hardest things for my students to do is to sit still. Whether it is time to work on our reading skills or write a paper for an English class, it is difficult for my students to focus on their work when their bodies need some movement.
Hokki Stools and an Adjustable Height Active Stool will allow my students to have physical movement while still focusing on their work.
Students can wiggle in their seats while still working at their desk. I am so excited to use these stools for our reading groups and book discussions around a class table!
